A rare survival of the neoclassical period, this mirror exhibits the "soul of the space" through a profound dialogue of texture and age. The upper header contains a pastoral scene executed in reverse-painted glass and gold leaf, a technique prized for its luminous, internal depth.

The original silvered glass displays significant atmospheric foxing and oxidation—natural patinas that record the passage of two centuries. The carved frame, finished in oxidized gold, shows a delicate craquelure consistent with its period and provenance.
