This design is inspired by a tea table crafted in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, by Robert Harrold (American, b. England, active 1765–1792) between 1765 and 1775. Now in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the original reflects the refined tastes of early American furniture. Reimagined through Met x Eichholtz, it translates that legacy into a functional modern format.
