Brushed brass finish | smoke glass

The Sahure Wall Lamp by Eichholtz is a refined tribute to ancient Egyptian artistry, inspired by a grand date-palm column from the pyramid temple of Pharaoh Sahure (ca. 2458–2446 B.C.).

Now housed in The Met collection, this monumental column originally stood among sixteen others encircling an open courtyard. The lamp’s tiered smoked glass design echoes the delicate palm motifs adorning the Museum’s granite column, merging historic craftsmanship with contemporary elegance. Measuring 20.28 inches in height and 5.51 inches in diameter, it embodies a harmonious balance of ancient form and modern refinement.

Designed to complement the Sahure Chandelier, this exquisite piece creates a luxurious lighting ensemble, illuminating your space with a sense of timeless grandeur.

HISTORIC PROVENANCE

The Sahure Wall Lamp draws inspiration from the Palm Column of Sahure, a towering 21-foot architectural masterpiece from ancient Egypt. This column, now exhibited in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, was one of sixteen that framed the pyramid temple’s courtyard.

Our design pays homage to its intricate date-palm motifs, translating them into smoked glass tiers and a brushed-brass finish for a sophisticated, sculptural effect. The result is a striking fusion of heritage and innovation, capturing the enduring allure of ancient Egyptian aesthetics.
